(Photo by Sutthiwit Chayutworakan)SAMUT PRAKAN: A fierce fire raged through a major cosmetic factory in Bang Phli district in the early hours of Saturday, causing an estimated 100 million baht in damage. The fire broke out at Milott Laboratories Co on Theparak Road in tambon Bang Pla, said Pol Capt Mongkhol Yonwilas, a deputy investigation chief at Bang Phli police station, who was reported at around 1am on Saturday. Loud bangs were heard while firemen were trying to extinguish the flames, which spread quickly to two nearby warehouses and three vehicles in the same compound. Athiwat Akkrahad, 25, an employee, said the blaze occurred while workers were working at another building in the same compound of the factory.
